The Department of Industrial Design is one of the three departments in de Industrial Design Engineering faculty. This department brings together the disciplines of ergonomics (human factors) and design. The emphasis of both disciplines is on the interaction between the user and the design.
The successful candidate has in-depth knowledge of modeling physical aspects of human product interaction in relation to the design process, and a high level of academic capability as evidenced by extensive scientific publications. Good teaching abilities are required, as are experience in supervising PhD and MSc students of Industrial Design Engineering and in translating theoretical models into teaching and professional practice.
